Premises and operations cover, rated at the code's premises rate on the limit you select.
Rated on the limitPick an occupancy code, set the limit & CaRE builds the premium from the published table — premises & products, layer by layer.
Rated on the published table, not on judgement
Every line takes its rate from the same occupancy code, so the whole quotation moves together when the code changes.
Premises and operations cover, rated at the code's premises rate on the limit you select.
Rated on the limitProducts and completed operations, including exports to the rest of the world.
Rated on the limitEmployer's liability excess, product recall and manufacturer's E&O bolt-ons.
Flat or rated add-onsThe worksheet keeps the order an underwriter already works in. Nothing is rated until the occupancy code & the limit are both in.
Insured, period, distribution and the occupancy code the whole quotation is rated on.
One limit across both lines, deductibles, extensions and the turnover recorded on the quotation.
Grade each hazard low, medium or high. Anything above low carries into risk management.
Layers, increased limit factors, minimum and deposit premium, and the quotation document.
No training and no spreadsheet. Pick a code, set the limit & the layers price themselves.
Sixty-one codes from the Fire Tariff. The code carries the hazard grade and both rates.
One limit across both lines. Rounded to whole millions, it sets the rated limit and the layer count.
The first RM 1M plus four excess layers, each at its increased limit factor.
Total premium, referral flags and the quotation document — in a single pass.
Four moves, start to terms. Nothing was typed twice.
Sixty-one occupancy codes, each carrying a hazard grade & two rates — one for premises and operations, one for products and completed operations. Codes with no published rate are marked Refer, and CaRE will not put a number against them without sign-off.
Sample voices from a pilot desk — attributed by role, not by name.
The code decides the rate, so the code is the first field. Everything after it is arithmetic I no longer check by hand.
Referrals surface while the worksheet is open, not after terms have gone out. That alone changed how the desk works.
One worksheet produces the quotation document, so brokers get the schedule of cover the same afternoon.
Answers on the tariff, the layer method & what happens when a risk falls outside the published table.
The Malaysia Fire Tariff occupancy table — 61 codes, each with a hazard grade and separate rates for premises and operations and for products and completed operations.
The limit you select, rounded to whole millions, times the tariff rate gives the first RM 1M of cover. Each excess layer is that base premium multiplied by its increased limit factor, within the published range.
The layer table stops at RM 5M. CaRE marks the quotation as a referral and leaves the premium unrated rather than extrapolating.
Yes — it rounds to the nearest whole million. RM 3.7M rounds to RM 4M, and RM 3.4M rounds down to RM 3M. The calculator prices it the moment the limit is entered.
